NOx removal by non-thermal plasma reduction: experimental and theoretical investigations

摘要: Green and efficient NOx removal at low temperature is still desired. NOx removal via non-thermal plasma (NTP) reduction is one of such technique. This work presents the experimental and theoretical study on the NOx removal via NTP reduction (NTPRD) in dielectric barrier discharge reactor (DBD). The effect of O2 molar fraction on NOx species in the outlet of DBD, and effects of NH3/NO molar ratio and discharge power of DBD on NOx removal efficiency are investigated. Results indicate that anaerobic condition and higher discharge power is beneficial to direct removal of NOx, and the NOx removal efficiency can be up to 98.5% under the optimal operating conditions. It is also found that adding NH3 is favorable for the reduction of NOx to N2 at lower discharge power. In addition, the NOx removal mechanism and energy consumption analysis for the NTPRD process are also studied. It is found that the reduced active species ( N, N, N+, N2, NH2+, etc.) generated in the NTPRD process play important roles for the reduction of NOx to N2. Our work paves a novel pathway for NOx removal from anaerobic gas in industrial application.

Study on the NOx release rule along the boiler during pulverized coal combustion

摘要: Numerical simulation and experimental study on NO release along the boiler during pulverized coal combustion have been conducted. With the increase of temperature the NO emission increased and the peak value of NO release moved forward. But when the temperature increased to a certain degree, NO emission began to reduce. NO emission increased with the increase of nitrogen content of coal. The peak value of NO release moved backwards with the increase of coal rank. NO emission increased obviously with the increase of stoichiometric ratio. There existed a critical average diameter of the pulverized coal (). If "d, NO emission reduced with the decrease of pulverized coal size. If >, NO emission reduced with the increase of the pulverized coal size. The results showed that the simulation results are in agreement with the experimental results for concentration distribution of NO along the axis of the furnace.

Selective catalytic reduction of NOx from exhaust of lean-burn engine over Ag-Al2O3/cordierite catalyst

摘要: A highly effective Ag-AlO catalyst was prepared using the sol-gel method, and characterized by surface area using nitrogen adsorption, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. The catalyst performance was tested on a real lean-burn gasoline engine. Only unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide in the exhaust were directly used as reductant (without any external reductant), the maximum NO conversion could only reach 40% at 450?C. When an external reductant, ethanol was added, the average NO conversion was greater than 60%. At exhaust gas temperature range of 350 500?C, the maximum NO conversion reached about 90%. CO and HC could be efficiently oxidized with Pt-AO oxidation catalyst placed at the end of SCR converter. However, NO conversion drastically decreased because of the oxidation of some intermediates to NO again. The possible reaction mechanism was proposed as two typical processes, nitration, and reduction in HC-SCR over Ag-AlO.

摘要: In this paper, the removal of trace carbon dioxide from closed spaces through membrane process and biotransformation are introduced in detail. These methods include the microalgae photobioreactor, membrane microalgae photobioreactor, supported liquid membrane, membrane gas-liquid contactor, hydrogel membrane, and enzyme membrane bioreactor. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are compared. It is found that higher CO removal efficiency can be obtained in biotransformation and membrane process. However, a large volume and high energy consumption are needed in biotransformation, while the low permeability and stability must be solved in the membrane process.

摘要: In this work, the removal of SO from gas mixture with air and SO by ammonium bicarbonate aqueous solution as absorbent was investigated experimentally in a bubble column reactor. The effects of the concentration of ammonium bicarbonate, the SO inlet concentration of gas phase and the gas flow rate on the removal rate of SO were studied. The results showed that the higher the SO inlet concentration and the gas flow rate, the shorter the lasting time of SO completely removed in gas outlet, and then the faster the decrease in the removal rate of SO . The lasting time of SO completely removed in gas outlet increased with increasing ammonium bicarbonate concentration. During the process of SO absorption, there was a critical pH of solution. When the solution pH was less than the critical pH, it would sharply fall, resulting in a rapid decrease of the SO removal rate. A theoretical model for predicting the SO removal rate has been developed by taking the chemical enhancement and the sulfite concentration in the liquid phase into account simultaneously.

Analysis of Flue Gas Pollutants Deep-removal Technology in Coal-fired Power Plants

摘要: In recent years, frequent haze has made PM become a public hotspot. PM control has been added to the 2012 release “ambient air quality standard.” Currently flue gas pollutant control technology does not easily remove PM . Developing Flue Gas Pollutant Deep-removal Technology (DRT) for coal-fired power plants for deep-removing pollutants such as PM , SO , SO , and heavy metals, is an urgent problem. Based on the analysis of the necessity and existing problems of developing DRT suitable for China, this study focused on PM removal technology, low NO emission of ultra supercritical boiler under all load conditions, and the adaptability of SCR working temperature. Finally, the flue gas pollutant removal system at a 2×660MW supercritical power plant was introduced, and the roadmap for developing DRT for 1,000MW ultra supercritical units was analyzed.

Preparation and selection of Fe-Cu sorbent for COS removal in syngas

摘要: A series of iron-based sorbents prepared with iron trioxide hydrate, cupric oxide by a novel method was studied in a fixed-bed reactor for COS removal from syngas at moderate temperature. In addition, the sorbents mixed with various additives in different ratios were tested. The effects of additive type and ratio on the breakthrough capacity and desulfurization performance, as well as the influence of operating conditions on sulfidation behavior of the sorbent, were investigated. The simulate gas contained 1% COS, 5% CO , 20%–30% CO and 60%–70% H . The outlet gases from the fixed-bed reactor were automatically analyzed by on-line mass spectrometry, and the COS concentration before breakthrough can be kept steady at 1 ppmv. The result shows that the breakthrough sulfur capacity of the sorbent is as high as 25 g-S/100 g. At 700 K and space velocity of 1000 h , the efficiency of sulfur removal and breakthrough sulfur capacity of the sorbent increase with the increase of copper oxide with an optimum value. The result shows that the species and content of additives also affect desulfurization performance of the sorbent.

Phosphorous removal from wastewater by lanthanum modified Y zeolites

摘要: The adsorption capacities of Y zeolite and La (III)-modified Y zeolite were studied. A series of La(III)-modified Y zeolites with different La/Y zeolite mass ratios were characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area analysis. Batch experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of various experimental parameters, such as pH, ionic strength, coexisting anions ( , Cl , and ) and temperature, on the phosphate adsorption. The capacity of the La (III)-modified Y zeolite to remove phosphate increased as the La/Y zeolite mass ratio increased and after 4 h, a phosphate removal efficiency of 95% was achieved for a La/Y zeolite mass ratio of 0.10. The equilibrium adsorption isotherm data correlated better to the Langmuir model than the Freundlich model and the data followed a pseudo-second-order kinetic equation.

摘要: This paper takes an overview of the Hongshiyan landslide dam triggered by an earthquake near Ludian County in Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, introduces how the danger removal plan is drafted and implemented, and analyzes the outcome of its implementation. The paper then explains the significance and effect of coordinated management in the event of natural disasters and other public safety emergencies, and discusses ways to improve coordinated management.

摘要: EBPR and PN/A were combined to enhance nutrients removal from municipal wastewater. High effluent quality of 0.25 mg TP?L and 10.8 mg TN?L was obtained. Phosphorus and nitrogen removal was achieved in two separated units. A proper post-anoxic phase improved the nitrogen removal performance of PN/A unit. Conventional biological removal of nitrogen and phosphorus is usually limited due to the lack of biodegradable carbon source, therefore, new methods are needed. In this study, a new alternative consisting of enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR) followed by partial nitritation-anammox (PN/A), is proposed to enhance nutrients removal from municipal wastewater. Research was carried out in a laboratory-scale system of combined two sequencing batch reactors (SBRs). In SBR1, phosphorus removal was achieved under an alternating anaerobic-aerobic condition and ammonium concentration stayed the same since nitrifiers were washed out from the reactor under short sludge retention time of 2–3 d. The remaining ammonium was further treated in SBR2 where PN/A was established by inoculation. A maximum of nitrogen removal rate of 0.12 kg N?m ?d was finally achieved. During the stable period, effluent concentrations of total phosphorus and total nitrogen were 0.25 and 10.8 mg?L , respectively. This study suggests EBPR-PN/A process is feasible to enhance nutrients removal from municipal wastewater of low influent carbon source.
